Check out: lymerights.org and don’t forget to sign up on their mailing list! It’s important that we get together and get organized, now more than ever. On May 7th, Lyme patients and constituents of Congressman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) protest outside of his offices in Long Branch. They want Pallone to schedule the Lyme Disease Research Bill, HR 741. So far, Pallone is stalling and refusing to schedule the Bill, capitulating to lobbyists and monied interest. Meanwhile Lyme is becoming an unchecked epidemic causing thousands to become chronically ill everyday. Call Frank at 202 225-4671 and tell him to schedule HR 741. Lyme patients can’t wait

Hey guys….PLEASE register at the Oprah Winfrey website and let her know how much you would like to see her do a show on Lyme disease. Dr. Oz thinks the “UNDER OUR SKIN” documentary is wonderful but a show about Lyme won’t be done unless she sees lots of interest. Request that LLMDS and patients be the guests so that we can be heard. Also, Daryl Hall would make a great guest. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER !
God Bless,
I believe Representative Pallone is very aware of this issue considering one of his own family once had a case of lyme disease and I cannot believe some rude commentary under this video. Representative Pallone has done so much for this community. Still I commend you for fighting for what you believe in and I believe this is a very well done video.
Wrote an informative Lyme brochure with the help of 2 Lyme specialists…will email to anyone.
the lack of compassion in politics isn’t surprising, but the lack of compassion in the medical industry is shocking
GREAT film!! We appreciate your work! The mainstream media prints nothing but lies about Lyme– and Blumenthal has already proven that the current IDSA guidelines were prepared under a dark cloud of conflict of interest with collusion among “inbred” committee members with questionable financial connections. Our govt spends $22 BILLION on developing biowarfare agents at Plum Island that are similar to Lyme, and yet Pallone cant find time to schedule a puny bill for treatment research? SHAME.
Seriously, enough is enough. Representative government means that the people’s wishes are represented by their elected officials, NOT the interests of giant medical societies with millions of dollars to hire lobbyists. Thousands and thousands of people have called you and asked for your help. What more do you need before you’ll schedule this bill? Do we really have to park a truck full of money on your lawn before you’ll listen?
Rep. Pallone – Lyme patients in your district have given you copies of the new book “Cure Unknown: Inside the Lyme Epidemic” and new film “Under Our Skin”. These CLEARLY spell out the self-interest and lies of the IDSA leaders as they allow this epidemic to rage on unchecked. Rep. Pallone we have a national health crisis here – how can you justify siding with the IDSA? How many more people will become incurably ill on YOUR watch as House Health chair?
And then you have to remember, the IDSA, the people opposing this bill, have already been busted by the Attorney General of Connecticut for serious malfeasance and conflicts of interest around Lyme treatment. Doesn’t that tell you something, Congressman? These guys are corrupt and don’t want this bill to see the light because they don’t want the truth about how badly they’ve mishandled this disease to come out. Please, Rep. Pallone, side with the people, not the money, on this issue.
I understand that he’s getting pressure from “the other side” to squash this bill. But wouldn’t an intelligent person have to ask themselves what possible motivation would a medical society have to OPPOSE a bill for more medical research? What possible reason would they have to oppose this unless they were hiding something? Honestly, Mr. Pallone, what legitimate reason could they have? None. They are clearly hiding somehting.
Very compelling and well done. Lyme Disease is no joke and people are contracting it with increasing numbers every year. These people are truly ill and the U.S. healthcare system is not helping those who need it the most. Let’s get politicians into action!
