I’ve had two ticks from hiking, etc. I tested negative for lyme’s. I think mine had to be in me for at least 24 hours. I don’t mind antibiotics though. GNC Super probiotics is God’s gift to the bowel.

Google…..”Low Dose Naltrexone Homepage.” And also here on You tube…”Controlling Lyme Disease,” and see the LDN videos by “TropicalDawg” here as well. I have been using LDN, for just over a week now, and feel the need to pass the buzz. This is a drug that helps with the immune system, inflammation and endorphins. Eat as if you had a yeast problem, because Lyme loves what yeast loves. And no sugars of any kind…”Including Fruit!”

I still can’t believ it was Lymes. It would have to be 4 or 5 ticks infested with Lymes, right?
And where were the bullseyes?
I’d believe it was West Nile Virus or something first.
These things, whatever they were – I saw them – they were no-see-ums – whatever they were they were smaller than ticks.
And the mosquitos got me good too.

So I went to the emergency room and I explained. The doctor wanted to nearly insist it was Lymes Disease after what I had told him. I still couldn’t believe it.
They took blood and the doctor said it came back positive for Lymes Disease. I still did not believe him.
He wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and I figured that Lymes disease or not the medicine should be a “catch all” and make WHATEVER IT IS go away.
I got rid of the symptoms within a few days of starting to take it.

Last summer I got annihilated by these reallt little no-see-um bastards by the Sacandaga River in the Adirondacks. I ALSO got bitten really bad by mosquitos because I didn’t have bug spray.
A week or two later I got a fever I couldnt shake and I had 4 or 5 big red rashes – but NO bullseye.
I figured there is NO WAY it could be ticks and Lymes Disease because I just couldn’t have got bitten by that many ticks – I figured one tick bite per rash right?

I have had 2 ticks on me and I noticed them within the first or second hour of them being on me. By the way, I never heard of rubbing soap or water in that pattern. I used rubbing alcohol and they came out. And I also made damn sure the head wasnt just out either.

Hi,
Were you in the video with Dr. Aucott? You look like the same person. Thanks for the video. Bummer to have so many ticks around you. Thanks.

A helpful hint: I consume aprox 1 clove raw garlic finely chopped daily in early spring through late summer (and often during the winter season because I like it) and it seems, from my experience, to keep ticks and mosquitoes off! Not a single mosquito bite this summer (while everyone else gets eaten) and no ticks!! I do lots of woodland activity so this was fantastic as I’ve had Lymes 3 times previously. Anyway, some say this works. It works for me, plus ancient garlic is healthy anyway!

What if it burrowed into your skull? There is very little skin on the elbow as well as the skull, so I don’t see that being a reason why a tick wouldn’t do that.
I ask, because that sounds near impossible to accurately and precisely check for. Shampoo get them out or something?

Hi Baumsy, Thanks! I forgot to add that…we both see a LLMD. And actually have been for years now (I was diagnosed in 2001). This is at least bite 2 for my husband, and it landed him in the hospital. He’s on bicillin shots and other antibiotics now. Thanks for the info, I appreciate your response and agree! ; )Sue

Given that your husband manifested a weird rash on his leg three days later, you can be sure it was not a spider bite. Spider bites are fairly uncommon, while tick bites are extremely common. Anyway, it would behoove your husband to consult a Lyme literate MD (LLMD); one can be located through ILADS (International Lyme and Associatesd Diseases) website. It is best to avoid infectious disease (IDSA) doctors at this time.

Hey Pestcontrol, My husband got a bite this Summer, which we think was a tick…but we weren’t sure and thought maybe a spider bite? At this point we pretty much know it was a tick and he got a weird rash on his leg about 3 weeks later. Anyway, I’d love to hear about why if you have a rash it wouldn’t be a spider bite. Sue
