I was bitten about 11 days ago and for the past three I have been sick as a dog. ache, puke, fever, Im going to the Doc in the morning since this was a holiday w/e. Will they give me a prescription before my test results are back?? I just want it to stop….

Thank you for your comment as I respect your opinion, you have to understand people with lyme diseases view. We have been suffering and it is just a hard thing for a person to accept that this is going unknown.

hey! I am so sorry to hear about your friends symptoms although after only a day of getting bitten I doubt that he got infected that quickly unless he had gotten bitten before today. I hope he feels better!

my friend just found a deer tick that got on him today and he is having about every on of those feelings except up to the seizures

i think i have lyme disease… i have a lot of muscle and joint pain… and i had this huge rash on my neck …. and im tired alot so im gonna see a doctor on wednesday :S

You left out spinal pain, and severe insomnia…I also had burning of the eyes as well. The problem is the regular pediatrian will drag you through hell waiting for test results before referring you to a disease specialist…to where you’re near Sepsis shock. The government needs to make changes allowing anyone to get immediate help for Lyme.

Eevrybody!! please if you have any joint pain,dizziness or a bite that looks like a bullseye get a blood test for Lyme Disease. I know my vision change blurry and my fingers got really stiff i cannot barely move it(it locks).And you just cant assume becuase its too late for treatment if you dont know it sooner/. So go see your doctor and tell them you ahve concerns,it wont hurt to be tested instead of ignorance.

hmm .. well instead of critisizing doctors you should work together with them? They don’t know everything and don’t profess to either (Someone clever and rational enough would accept that) Besides, they know a hell of a lot. They are gonna be the ones that find the cure so i dont think you’re being very fair x

Interesting it mentions dizziness as the first thing, Dizziness was my first symptom and not many people I have met with Lyme have the same

a lot of bugs cause rashes… the chances of it being a tick are very slim… plus if you found the rash and there was no tick attached probably not…

Hey guys….PLEASE register at the Oprah Winfrey website and let her know how much you would like to see her do a show on Lyme disease. Dr. Oz thinks the “UNDER OUR SKIN” documentary is wonderful but a show about Lyme won’t be done unless she sees lots of interest. Request that LLMDS and patients be the guests so that we can be heard. Also, Daryl Hall would make a great guest. OPRAH needs to hear about YOUR experience with Lyme disease. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER !

Yea, I’ve seen the view from my bed for years. I was bit in California 35 years ago. It comes and goes. It’s back and raging. Most doctors don’t believe it exists in California.
